HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR WIG
Washing & Care:
The proper care of your wig/hairpiece will keep it looking like new.
Most women find it best to have a back up wig/hairpiece to use while
allowing the proper time for cleaning and drying your wig/hairpiece.
Step 1:
Use a shampoo specifically formulated to clean wigs, such as “Henry Margu
Shampoo for Wigs” for synthetic hair. In a sink or basin, mix a capful
of wig shampoo in cold water and immerse your hairpiece. Let soak for
five (5) minutes. Agitate gently and rinse the hairpiece in cold water
until shampoo is removed.
Step 2:
Refill the sink or basin with clean cool water and add a capful of wig
conditioner for synthetic hair. Immerse hairpiece and agitate gently.
DO NOT RINSE OUT CONDITIONER. Remove hairpiece and gently comb through
any tangles. Blot dry in a towel and then gently shake.
Step 3:
Replace hairnet and allow your hairpiece to air dry on a wig stand or
on top of a hairspray canister. Comb add-ons can be hung on a clothesline
or hanger, with the combs locked together. DO NOT BRUSH OR COMB THE HAIRPIECE
UNTIL IT IS COMPLETELY DRY.
Step 4:
Once dry, remove hairnet and follow instructions on how to put on you
wig, fall or comb add-on. You will notice that the original style of
your hairpiece has come back.
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT USE A HAIR DRYER, CURLING IRON OR ANY TYPE OF HEATED STYLING TOOLS
ON YOUR HAIRPIECE. KEEP AWAY FROM ALL SOURCES OF HEAT OR OPEN FLAME.

Styling:
All wigs can be styled into just about anything with light heat. However,
we recommend using a professional hairstylist to change the style of wigs
*see instructions below. Synthetic wigs can be ruined by use of heat.
- Don't try to get every hair in Place. This can end
up making the finest wig look "wiggy".
- If the style you've chosen offers flexibility, don't
be afraid to try different looks using a good wig brush
or styling comb.
- If you have a round or square shaped face, try to add
height at the top while keeping the slides closer to
your head.
- If you have a longer face, try to minimize height at
the top and fluff up the sides.
- To hold the style in place, use a good wig spray such
as “Henry Margu Spray for Wigs” or “Henry Margu Mousse
Spritz” for synthetic hair.
- If you decide to restyle at home, going from curly
to straight or vice versa, please read these guidelines.
- Place wig securely on wig stand. Use electric rollers,
regular rollers or pin curls. End papers are recommended
with rollers or pin curls.

- Removes tangles with a wig brush.
- Using the same directional styling as on a human head
of hair, pick up hair and wind on roller or curl, smoothing
ends as you go.
- Use a medium setting with electric rollers or hair
dryer. With a hair blower, be sure to circulate medium
heat evenly and continuously, keeping about 12" from
wig.
- Allow hair to cool before removing rollers or pin curls.
- Lightly back brush or backcomb and tease up on areas
desired. Brush style in place.
